I was recently asked if I could provide an interactive, custom design for an exciting digital childrens book selection startup. The ever creative Meena and Caroline from Wriveted, have developed a simple and intuitive solution that assists children in selecting their preferred book of choice within a library environment. Wriveted essentially finds books that match a child’s hobbies and interests, increasing their desire to read and improving their overall literacy. See their website below:
Wriveted needed a physical structure to house the components and gadgetry in a unified way for ease of maintenance and security.
We embarked on a creative journey and arrived together we developed a lego-esque robot theme and “Scout” the Chatbot was born.
This is exactly the meaningful and fulfilling type of work that allows me to, not only get super creative, but to be the first to implement a solution into a particular industry.
This unit comprises a 10.1″ 1920 x 1080 portrait LED, with capacitive touch, 60mm thermal OEM USB network printer, Windows Intel Compute Stick and USB modem. Stay tuned as this unit goes into production in October.
Drawing, cartooning and helping kids to read and making it fun is something I am very passionate about. In 2017 I was asked in to illustrate a Childrens book for my dear fiend Alex Terry and his Mum, Judyth Gregory Smith titled “Bernard the Wombat of Ugly Gully, By Judyth Gregory-Smith”. This was an amazing experience which enabled me to explore my cartooning ability. There is a sequel book coming out this year that I have been fortunate enough to be involved in for more illustrations. See the first book below:
